THEA

INSTRUCTOR

'Dance has always played a big part in my life from a young age. After training in musical theatre, I started teaching performing arts in London. It's then I fell in love with aerial arts! Starting out with aerial hoop, then transitioning to silks, I now have 6+ years of training and experience behind me. During these years I also had the opportunity to teach abroad at an English dance school, allowing me to train in aerial abroad too. Now I can't wait to share my knowledge in aerial silks, and watch each student grow in strength and confidence!

SHELLEY

 INSTRUCTOR

'After starting to dance at age 3, Shelley's passion for performing began to grow. Going on to train in musical theatre at university, Shelley then uncovered a love for circus which inspired her to pick up a hula-hoop for the first time in years! From that point, Shelley began to train a handful of different circus skills, including aerial hoop, and went on to teach circus workshops. Now having 5+ years experience in circus skills and many more years in performing, Shelley is thrilled to have the opportunity to share the skills she has learned with others!'

SAM

INSTRUCTOR

I have been teaching children academically for 6 years now, and I am a Teaching Partner in a local Primary school. I am excited to be expanding my teaching into circus arts. I was one of the first students to sign up, when FMC Circus Arts first opened, and have loved watching myself grow from a beginner, to intermediate, into advanced. I was inspired to join aerial after watching the film, ‘The Greatest Showman’. Which really intensified my love for aerial, and desire to run away with the circus. The best part about FMC Circus Arts is that I don’t have to run away, as there’s circus arts right on my doorstep! I am thrilled to have this amazing opportunity to share my passion for both aerial and teaching with others and, I look forward to inspiring others to learn and grow"

LOLA

INSTRUCTOR

"For the past 9 years I have been an aerobic gymnast and have been lucky enough to be on the GB squad for 8 years, this will be my 8th year.
During these years I have travelled and competed in many international competitions, my highest achievements to date are a team silver medal in the World Championships and an individual silver medal in the European Championships.
I have also enjoyed dancing since I was 4 and have taken part in many dance festivals and shows.
Both gymnastics and dance complement each other and it is wonderful to be able to bring both of these to aerial class.
I started aerial hoop about two years ago and loved it so much! I’m so excited to be able to help teach others and share my knowledge!"
